Summary
Ever since Goku became Earth’s greatest hero and gathered the seven Dragon Balls to defeat the evil Boo， his life on Earth has grown a little dull。 But new threats loom overhead， and Goku and his friends will have to defend the planet once again in this continuation of Akira Toriyama’s best-selling series， Dragon Ball！

Ambientato subito dopo gli eventi della fine di Dragon Ball Z， questa nuova fatica di Akira Toriyama e Toyataro non poteva non entrare di diritto nel mio scaffale， complice l'aver appena finito la saga originale e spinto dalla curiosità di leggere come hanno deciso di far proseguire questa saga storica。Il primo volume， tuttavia， non è nulla di speciale， almeno per quanto riguarda la prima parte del manga。 La prima metà del volume infatti è un semplice volantino pubblicitario dei due film usciti Ambientato subito dopo gli eventi della fine di Dragon Ball Z， questa nuova fatica di Akira Toriyama e Toyataro non poteva non entrare di diritto nel mio scaffale， complice l'aver appena finito la saga originale e spinto dalla curiosità di leggere come hanno deciso di far proseguire questa saga storica。Il primo volume， tuttavia， non è nulla di speciale， almeno per quanto riguarda la prima parte del manga。 La prima metà del volume infatti è un semplice volantino pubblicitario dei due film usciti per questo nuovo arco narrativo di Dragon Ball Super， e risulterà decisamente inconcludente per il lettore che si approccia a questo fumetto senza aver visto i film。Vengono giusto abbozzati gli avvenimenti dei film， facendoli concludere in poche tavole， senza spiegare nulla della nuova trasformazione dei guerrieri Saiyan o del contesto in generale。Il manga si risolleva tuttavia nella seconda parte， che mette finalmente carne sul fuoco， proponendo una nuova sfida per i nostri combattenti e facendolo nel modo più comodo per un autore， ovvero puntando sul fan service， ma pensato。Infatti vedremo intavolata una nuova ambientazione narrativa， che amplia la visione del lettore su un nuovo universo speculare a quello che abbiamo conosciuto fin ora per tutto l'arco narrativo della saga di Dragon Ball， ripescando personaggi amati dai lettori e riproponendoli （assieme a nuovi e misteriosi combattenti） con nomi e background molto diversi。Cresce dunque la curiosità del lettore， che sarà coccolato anche dai simpatici siparietti tipici soprattutto del primo arco narrativo della storia di Goku， e che vuole vedere fino a che punto ci si potrà spingere con questo nuovo torneo tra i guerrieri più forti dell'universo。 。。。more

*Small spoiler warning* I know I am a sucker for this series。 I read the whole series， and watched quite a bit of the anime。 The art by Toyotarou is immaculate， and the story by Toriyama is still amazing。 The characters are still good， and the story makes me chuckle at times。 We are introduced to a whole new different universes， and the world still expands。 It fills my heart with such joy to see the characters older， some now with families， and other characters becoming closer friends with each *Small spoiler warning* I know I am a sucker for this series。 I read the whole series， and watched quite a bit of the anime。 The art by Toyotarou is immaculate， and the story by Toriyama is still amazing。 The characters are still good， and the story makes me chuckle at times。 We are introduced to a whole new different universes， and the world still expands。 It fills my heart with such joy to see the characters older， some now with families， and other characters becoming closer friends with each other。 The opposing threats are amazing， and make me feel fear for the main cast， and how they will overcome these challenges brought by the tournament of power。 New characters introduced push the main character to become more motivated， which makes readers （or at least me） feel excited and motivated to become better in reality as well。 Overall， the Dragon Ball Series is amazing， and I definitely recommend it to anyone， and Super manages to keep the 30 year reign alive。 。。。more
